They’re not from Ebaums. The Anonymous.

Alright, for those of you being raided and attacked by the “Anonymous.” When you ask where they came from. and they say “EBAUMSWORLD.COM!” It is a LIE! They cover their horror and harassment by blaming it all on Ebaums. They will sometimes say, “Rules one and two!” Rule one and two are defined as, “EBAUMS DID IT!”. Just givin’ you some advice. Most of their weaponry and a lot of their information is located at this wiki, partyvan.info. It contains many illegal tools, and controversial content.

The Anonymous is a group of worldwide hacking and raiding groups. Most consist of people in their 20s, or teenagers. They usually raid Scientology sites and groups. They also raid forums, blogs, and other places. They usually do it for “Lulz”, and occasionally vengeance. They, and they even admit themselves, are immature, heartless, and evil. They enjoy seeing innocent people in misery. They laugh. They attack for the thrill.

When their victim commits suicide, they laugh. They are very computer savvy people, most are, and are capable of unleashing havoc. I was being harassed on my IRC chat room by a 24 year old man, and I am younger than he is. A 36 year old man was too. I believe they are nerdy, pathetic, losers with no life who act tough with a keyboard, by bullying others. It makes them feel “powerful”. If you want to feel powerful and tough, do something real. Help someone, Join the army, become a police officer, do something that helps AND makes you powerful and tough.

Here is a list of the Anonymous rules, according to Partyvan.info: Insurgency Rules. It is the rules of “Insurgency”. Insurgency is the group of actual raiding, where people gather up to attack. The insurgents and Anonymous are united across all Chan message boards, such as 4chan, 7chan, and, where an insurgency board is listed, 711chan.

The Chans are full of controversial, adult, mature, violent and sexually disgusting content. Basically, they are intended for adult users. The Chans also have an innocent side, but usually is bogged down with porn and gore images some places. I believe the victims of raids should sue the Chans. I hate the Anonymous and raids. I’ve been a victim of them for so long, I would like to see them shut down.

Here are some ways to protect yourself from the evil Anon.

  • Always use a BIG. ASS pass word with some symbols such as #, %, &, etc. And you should use a different pass for all of your forums, sites, and messengers.
  • Have at least 2 or more anti-virus programs. I suggest, Webroot Spysweeper, Avast Anti-virus, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Terminator, Norton, etc. Keep their shields on as much as possible.
  • Get a firewall.
  • Don’t use the same user name for all your sites and messengers. Use common sense
  • Make sure your forums use a secure software, such as VBulletin, Invision Power Board, etc. phpBB is somewhat mediocre, I wouldn’t go with it. This is for if you do own a forum.
  • Make sure your sites are on a secure server and have a secure login pass word.
  • Don’t associate, show, or link to any friends if being raided or at any time if you think it is best, you don’t want the Anon going after them. If they see they can’t really do anything to you, they’ll go after your buddies and loved ones.
  • DO NOT give out personal information! Don’t tell anyone your full name. A first name is fine, but not a last name. Don’t give out any critical information out in open places, like an AIM messenger name, E-mail address, site link, anything

Here is a paragraph about what they like to see. They LOVE seeing you in pain, depression, anger, dismay. Hide it. Show nothing. When they start threatening, “Ha ha! I will post your email and everything ALL over the Chans! Mwuhaha!”, act cool. Do something like this, “Haha, k. That information is completely useless to you people, no damage can be done. I couldn’t care less anyways. You’ll try to find ways, but you’ll find none. There’s nothing you can do. I am more intelligent. You are immature. What can you do to harm me? Nothing. Relax, you don’t have to get all pissy knowing there’s nothing you can do. You can always go raid someone who IS unintelligent. That’ll be more fun. Now, good bye. *Blocks raider*.”

Usually doing that, makes them stop and get a little pissed off. It won’t harm you though. It’ll make you smile. :) . It is best to do this on a messenger or chat room. If they have authority of the room, say that, and GTFO! By the way, do NOT click any of their links. Do NOT click a link with “.on.nimp.org” in it. That will lead straight to a virus. Do not click any links that have have “7chan” in it that begin with “kip”, or “mud”, etc. They redirect to nimp links. Do not click any links that end in .php, that is a site that you do not trust.

IP addresses. IPs can lead to your demise if they get into the wrong hands. The IP address is like the address of your house, or a phone number, only for computers. Every single computer has a different IP. Now, if someone gets your IP, they can hack into your computer, or send you viruses, etc. It’s a good idea to turn off “Remote access” in your control panel. Firewalls can prevent intruders. Windows Vista SUCKS ASS when it comes to security, intruders can get in easier. Get Windows XP, or a Mac. I suggest Windows XP.

Using Firefox can reduce intruders and virus risks greatly. Internet explorer has something called Active X, which can allow a hacker to do ANYTHING to your computer. Be smart, and use Firefox. Also, a tip. If you have a somewhat mediocre computer, mediocre processing speed, CPU usage gets high all the time from clicking links or opening stuff. Tip. Switch to Windows Classic Theme. You can do this by going into control panel, going to theme and appearance, and selecting. To monitor CPU usage and memory usage at all times, press “Control+Alt+Delete”, go to “Task Manager”, go to “Performance”, go to “Options”, select “Hide when minimized”, and you should be able to monitor your computer’s performance at all times just by looking at the bottom right corner, near the clock.

Hackers can also get into your internet network. They can lock you out. This happened to a friend of mine once. I have no advice to say about this, but to call your internet service provider. Sometimes hackers will go to a forum or site you go to, crack your pass word, and get in and start spamming. Most of the time, if they don’t change your account email, you can choose, “I forgot my pass word”. It will send a new pass word to your account email. You can get in, and get rid of the intruder. Most of the time, I believe, you can be logged in on two locations. This will allow the hacker to continue havoc. Contact and administrator or moderator, and tell him to disable your account. This is for your own good. If it’s a messenger, just click “Forgot Password”, and you should be able to get in. Clients such as Yahoo Messenger or MSN only allow a user to be logged in on one location. It will send a new pass word to your secondary email that is on your messenger account. It will usually ask you for your secret question. It is very hard to change the secret question, for your safety.

If you’re on your forum or site one day, and you start seeing lots, and lots of guests, and people registering, the and the registered people spamming, this most likely means you are now in the cross hairs of the Anon. To protect your site, disable new registrations, turn off all uploads and HTML use, ban the users, turn the board offline. And just to be sure, change the site’s URL. This will protect your forum, you will have to show all your members the new link though. This method usually is intended for small message boards that use free hosts such as FreeForums or Invisionfree. Invisionfree is very secure, though. Free phpBB hosts are insecure and should expect a hijacking. For bigger, more active, secure forums that have a lot of members and moderators, and use a host such as VBulletin or Invision Power Board, you should be safe.

It’s handy to have some spies. Spying can inform you of the Anon’s attack plans and just may save your ass. I’ve had some spies in my day, boy, they sure do help. Sometimes raids are focused into a room on an IRC channel, such as one on the Chans. For those types of IRCs, you should get Opera Browser, Chatzilla, which is an add-on for Firefox, (I suggest Firefox 2, as most add ons work with it), the best browser, (I suggest get it or you are TOAST by the Anon, or mIRC, which was a little too complex for me. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you get a team of raiders coming after you, but one of them actually has integrity, and will spy deep down in for you.

Well, this is all I can think of for now. I hope you will find this article useful, if you are under attack. Stay strong. Never give up. Never give the Anon what they want. Never give in. Look forward. And protect yourself. I hope you can stay safe.
